What would be a good thesis statement for The Masque of the Red Death?

It was written by Edgar Allan Poe. I was thinking about saying, Throughout the story of The Masque of the Red Death, Poe discussed about death because people die everyday. Sometimes when death comes, that's it. Death is everywhere and there is no escape. What do you all think?
