How do I know that I need to go to summer school?

I have got very good grades at my classes, like english,math and science.......but this years' state exam was my first.it was my first time.i am very worried. the school has ended but my homeroom teacher didnt say anything about going to summer school or anything.i dont even know if i failed.so i just wanted to make things clear. do the school give you a letter to you in the the school or they just send it home?
